Brad Blauser, founder of WFKI, was the finalist for the state of Texas for the civilian “Above and Beyond Award” in 2009, given by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. One civilian finalist is chosen from each of the fifty US states, and three are chosen from the finalists to receive the award.
Brad was also chosen as a recipient for the CNN Heroes Award in 2009, and was a top 10 finalist for the CNN Hero of the Year Award. An award that captures how one person can make a difference. Watch Brad’s interview with Larry King.
